All of us know how to make baked potatoes – new microwave models even have a setting that can cook them instantly. However, with a little more effort, you can make these tasty baked potatoes that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried them yet! The recipe was shared by Tonia from the “The Gunny Sack” blog.
First you need to slice off the potato by length in thin slices, leaving you with a long elongated section. Now, cut 5-6 rings in this spot – you can cut more or less depending on the potato size. Be careful not to cut through the potato!
Next, flip the potato over and make downward cuts in it, avoiding to cut the middle section. Cut downwards all the way around it, creating a cool web shape when you flip the potato over.
Now, sprinkle some salt on the potatoes and pour some olive oil in. Bake them for half an hour in foil until they’re golden brown. Keep baking for a full hour or until the skin is dark brown in color. The potatoes are now ready, but why not make them even more delicious? Put some cheese on them and bake for another five minutes until the cheese has melted. If you like, you can add some bacon too. Be careful when taking them out of the oven before eating – they are very hot!
