A couple who were both murdered in the Orlando shooting will have a joint funeral.
Jaun Ramon Guerrero, 22, and his fiancé Christopher ‘Drew’ Leinonen, 32, died in a targeted terror attack against Florida’s LGBT community.
Instead of spending their lives together, the couple will be linked in death with a joint funeral.
Juan’s sister Ayram told TIME: ‘They were honestly just so in love. They were soul mates. You can tell by the way they looked at each other.’
The couple – who’d been in love for two years and lived together – will be buried side by side.
Guerrero was studying to become a financial advisor at the University of Central Florida.
He was due to turn 23 in a few days. His father, who shares the same name said the family will mark his birthday.
‘He was a beautiful kid, a hard worker, friendly, sweet person. I lost part of my life.’
At least 49 people were killed and 53 were wounded at the Pulse nightclub on Sunday.
The gunman, Omar Mateen, 29, had pledged loyalty to Islamic State. He was shot dead by police after opening fire with an AR-15 assault rifle.
The Orlando attack is considered to be the worst mass shooting in recent U.S. history.
