This footage will warm even the hardest of hearts.
This young chimpanzee is overcome with joy to be reunited with the two human parents who raised him after he was left to die by his mother.
Limbani is beside himself and lets out cries of joy when he spots Jorge.
He leaps into his arms before nuzzling his head into his human father’s shoulder.
The delight is just as unconfined when he then spots his human mother Tania.
The wonderful footage was posted on Instagram by the Zoological Wildlife Foundation in Miami, who say the couple helped provide the animal with ‘around the clock care for the first few months of his life’.
One-year-old Limbani is now staying at the zoo, but regularly sees the couple who raised him when they visit.
The Zoological Wildlife Foundation said: ‘The pure excitement and joy when Limbani sees our close friends can only be appreciated if watched and heard.
Tania and Jorge can go without seeing him for a couple months and his reaction is always the same.’
Limbani was rejected by his mother after he was born with pneumonia.
Without the help of Tania and Jorge, he would have almost certainly died.
Limbani hit headlines in January when a video of him with a Mastiff dog, named Bruno cuddling went viral.
